Dr. Joseph Coorey, or just Joey as many of his patients call him, graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010. Joey is passionate about dentistry, particularly Dentofacial Orthopaedics and Orthodontics, with a goal for appropriate airway development, healthy jaw joints, and proper function in adults and children.

Dr. Joseph Coorey's Career

Joey worked in Metropolitan Sydney after graduating before heading down the south coast to picturesque Jervis Bay, where he gathered valuable experience.

Joey joined the Lilli Pilli Dental team in 2012, starting on a part-time basis, later expanding his days and becoming Practice Principal alongside Dr. Cameron Dodd in 2016. Joey began a new chapter at The Smile Space in 2021 to continue serving his patients in the Sutherland Shire.

Joey has attended several conferences and courses in Australia and abroad. He is passionate about Orthodontics and Facial Orthopaedics, Neuromuscular Dentistry, and Dento-Facial Aesthetics and has pursued further education in these fields.

Dr. Joseph Coorey is a member of several dental associations, including the Australian Dental Association, the American Society of Orthodontics, the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, and the Australian Osseointegration Society. He is also a member of several international organizations, including the International Association for Orthodontics and the International Academy of Facial Aesthetics.

Dr. Joseph Coorey is affiliated with the Academy for Sports Dentistry and The University of Sydney, where he completed the Orthodontic Series. He has also completed Progressive Orthodontic Seminars and EODO Orthodontic seminars. Dr. Coorey has additionally studied at the London Institute in Washington, USA, in the field of Dental Implants.

Alex graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry and honours. Since then, he has worked throughout Metropolitan Sydney, constantly learning new techniques along the way. He enjoys keeping up-to-date with new dental innovations in dentistry, allowing him to expand his knowledge and skills.
