Frequently
Asked Questions

We recommend you visit your dentist at least twice a year, or every six months. A lot can happen in six months, including changes to your oral health.

If you have a history of dental health problems, your dentist may recommend more frequent visits. If you have periodontal disease, for instance, you may need to visit your dentist every three months for a professional cleaning. Similarly, if you have had cavities in the past, your dentist may recommend more frequent visits to help prevent new cavities from forming.

Regular dental visits are an important part of maintaining good oral health. It allows your dentist to keep track of your oral health and catch any problems early before they become more serious. You can also get a professional cleaning during your visits, which can remove plaque and tartar that at-home brushing and flossing may miss. It helps prevent cavities and gum disease.

Visiting your dentist regularly also gives you the chance to ask questions and learn more about how to care for your teeth and gums.

During a dental visit, your dentist will examine and clean your teeth. They may also take x-rays to inspect for tooth decay or other problems. Your dentist may also give you a fluoride treatment to help prevent cavities. If you have questions or concerns about your oral health, the dentist can answer them and give you advice on how to keep your mouth healthy.
Your child’s first visit to their dentist is an invaluable milestone. It not only helps to keep their teeth healthy, but it also helps to create good oral hygiene habits. We recommend that your child see their dentist by the time they are one or within six months of their first tooth erupting. This early visit allows the dentist to assess your child’s oral health and identify potential problems. Additionally, the dentist can provide helpful tips on caring for your child’s teeth.
